Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Labterna (“Labterna”, “we”, “us”) is a product operated by Bigini Holding B.V., Cornelis Lelylaan 3, 1062 HD Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact fabio@labterna.com.
2. What we collect
Account data — your email address and, if you set one, a password.
Task & workspace data — the requests, files, and content you submit for your AI in-silico design tasks, and the outputs produced in your workspace.
Billing data — handled by our payment processor Stripe; we store a customer identifier and your plan/credit status, not your full card details.
Usage & technical data — basic product analytics (e.g. pages viewed, feature usage) and standard server logs.
3. How we use your data
To provide the service (run your tasks in your private workspace and deliver results), to authenticate you, to process payments and manage your subscription and credits, to provide support, to keep the service secure, and to improve the product in aggregate.
We do not use your task inputs or outputs to train machine-learning models and we do not sell your data.
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the service and billing), on the basis of our legitimate interests (securing and improving the service), and, where applicable, on your consent (e.g. certain analytics). You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Where your data is processed & sub-processors
Each client runs in an isolated cloud workspace. We rely on the following sub-processors to run the service:
- Supabase — authentication and database (EU region).
- Fly.io — the per-client compute workspaces.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- AI model providers — used to run design tasks; content sent for a task is processed transiently to produce your result and is not used to train their models under our agreements.
6. Data ownership & your IP
Your inputs and the outputs generated for you remain your intellectual property. We access them only to operate the service on your behalf.
7. International transfers
Where a sub-processor processes data outside the European Economic Area (for example certain model providers), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Retention
We keep your account and workspace data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account or ask us to erase your data, we remove it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal or accounting obligations.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, export, and restrict or object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these, email fabio@labterna.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
10. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and privacy-conscious product analytics to understand usage. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated to you directly.
